RooCards

Stop carrying physical loyalty cards without losing the code you need

Start with the loyalty, store, rewards, and membership cards you already show. Add one existing card at a time, give it a recognisable name, and check its barcode or QR code before you rely on your phone instead of the plastic card.

  • Move the frequent cards that make your wallet bulky first.
  • Add an existing code by scan, manual entry, or a clear saved image, then check it.
  • Keep the physical card until the phone version works at the place you use it.

Start with the cards you use most often, name them clearly, and keep the important ones easy to open.

Choose the cards worth moving first

Begin with cards you show at checkout or check-in every week. A smaller first pass makes it easier to notice an unclear, duplicate, or outdated code.

Make every saved card easy to recognise

Use the store or programme name you expect to look for. Open the saved barcode or QR code before the next visit so you can correct a card while the original is still available.

Treat the phone as a tested replacement

A saved code is useful only when it is accepted where you need it. Keep the plastic card or the issuer’s official service for cards that still need confirmation or account help.

A gradual replacement is more reliable than a wallet clear-out

The goal is to make routine scans easier, not to promise that every physical card can be discarded on day one.

  • Keep a tested existing card code in one library instead of in loose photos.
  • Use clear names so the right card is ready before the scanner.
  • Retain the physical card or issuer service when a code has not been verified.
