About this prayer
Jesus taught this prayer to his disciples in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 6:9–13); a shorter form appears in Luke 11:2–4. The Chinese Union Version includes the closing words 因为国度、权柄、荣耀，全是你的, which many churches pray together.
