Start reading

VerseLume opens straight into the Bible, and every feature is free with no ads. You can read, search, listen, highlight, take notes and save passages without creating an account, and everything you save stays on your device.

The Chinese text is the Chinese Union Version (和合本) in Simplified or Traditional characters, and the English text is the World English Bible. Read both side by side or choose one language, and use focus mode when you want a quieter page.

Find a verse quickly

Type a reference in Chinese or English, such as 约3:16 or Jn 3:16, and VerseLume opens the verse. To find words you remember, search in either language and narrow the results to the Old Testament, the New Testament or one book.

Listen to a passage

Tap Listen to hear the passage in Chinese, English or both. Playback continues when you lock your iPhone or iPad, and you can pause or skip from the lock screen.

Sync across your devices

Sign in with Apple in Settings › Account & Data to keep your notes, highlights, bookmarks and reading position in step on every iPhone and iPad you sign in on. Signing in is optional.

When you sign out, your synced data is removed from that device and returns when you sign in again.

Delete your data or your account

• Remove reading positions, bookmarks, highlights, notes, saved excerpts and recent searches from a device in Settings › Account & Data › Delete local reading data.
• If you signed in with Apple, tap Delete Account in Settings › Account & Data. After you confirm with Apple, we revoke the Apple sign-in, delete your account and erase your synced data from our servers and from the device.

Open Settings › Send Feedback to report a problem or suggest an improvement. We review every message and use it to make VerseLume better.

Choose one of seven one-time amounts, from US$0.99 to US$59.99, shown in your local currency. Apple handles the payment through your Apple Account. Each payment is a one-time gift: it never renews, you can give again whenever you like, and the app stays exactly the same for everyone. Your gift helps cover server and developer account costs, fixes and new Bible reading features.
