On iPhone, RooCards can offer an Apple Wallet pass for eligible barcode and QR cards. Check the Wallet pass before relying on it, and keep the original card in RooCards as your scan-ready fallback.
Back to FAQNo. A card must be eligible on iPhone, and its code still needs to work in Apple Wallet. RooCards keeps the original card available when Wallet is not the right surface for that card, code type, device, or pass-creation flow.
Start with a card you scan frequently in person, such as a supermarket loyalty card, a store rewards card, or a membership card used for regular check-ins.
Use RooCards for the full searchable library; Apple Wallet is a faster access path only for selected, working passes.
If RooCards shows that Wallet will use a different code format, some scanners may require the original format. Test the pass before you need it; if it does not scan, use the original card in RooCards.
The original card stays in RooCards if a pass cannot be created or if the scanner test fails. Code 128 may also not display on Apple Watch, so use the in-app card when the Wallet pass is unsuitable.
Apple Wallet is best for selected high-use cards that you have checked. RooCards remains the place to store, organize, search, edit, import, and display the complete set of barcode and QR cards.
