RooCards

How do you back up and restore RooCards cards on iPhone?

RooCards offers optional iCloud Backup on iPhone. It protects a card library for a later manual restore; it does not keep multiple devices in live sync. Turn backup on if you want it, then check the restored library before relying on it.

FAQ

Use optional iCloud Backup on iPhone

Backup is optional. Enable it in RooCards on iPhone when you want a protected copy of the card library. It does not require treating every device as one continuously synced library.

Restore deliberately, then check the cards you need

  1. 1. On another Apple device, choose a backup to restore when you need the library again.
  2. 2. Let the manual restore complete, then open the cards you use most often.
  3. 3. Check the saved barcode or QR code before relying on it at a counter or check-in.

Backup is not live sync or an Android promise

A backup is a recoverable copy, not a promise that changes appear instantly on another device. The iCloud backup and manual restore path described here is for iPhone; Android is not presented as providing this backup path.

Keep your iPhone card library ready to restore

Start with the cards you use regularly, choose optional backup if it suits you, and check a restored card before you depend on it.
