Snap Spell 2.0: Auto Dictation, Tricky Words and No Ads
Snap Spell 2.0 brings no ads, Auto Dictation, Tricky Words review, a weekly parent report, natural voices, and fairer US/UK spelling checks on iPhone.
Practice without ads
Snap Spell 2.0 is ad-free for everyone, so a practice round goes straight from one word to the next.
Auto Dictation reads the list for you
Snap Spell reads the words like a class dictation while your child writes them on paper. You choose how many times each word is read and how long there is to write, and it keeps reading with the screen locked. At the end, you mark each word right or wrong.
Tricky Words brings missed words back
Every missed word goes to Tricky Words and comes back the next day, then after 3, 7 and 14 days. Four on-time right answers in a row and the word is learned. With Pro, Snap Spell plans each day’s review across all lists.
A weekly report for parents
See how many days your child practised this week, how many words, and how many were right, next to the week before. Pro adds the hardest words of the week and every past week.
Natural American, British and Australian voices
On iOS 26 or later, Pro adds natural voices in three accents. Each voice downloads once and then plays on your iPhone.
American and British spellings both count
Color and colour are both marked right, and your list keeps the spelling the teacher wrote. Straight and curly apostrophes count the same.
Short rounds that end with stars
Solo Test splits a long list into rounds of 10 or 20 words. Each round ends with stars, and one tap practises the missed words again.
Reminders that know what is due
Practice reminders follow recent practice, such as how many tricky words are due today. You can also get a reminder on new-list day and when the weekly report is ready.
A fresh look and a quicker start
The new design and a shorter first-time setup get you from a printed list to the first practice round faster.
