Auto Ducking
Auto Ducking Support
For setup questions, bug reports, feature requests, purchase questions, or privacy questions, contact MarcX Studio.
Please include your Mac model, macOS version, Auto Ducking version, output device, microphone app, and a short description of what happened.
Microphone detection
If Auto Ducking does not lower volume when expected, check that the microphone app is active and that your trigger rules do not exclude that app.
Volume restore
If volume restores too quickly or too slowly, adjust restore delay and fade timing from the Auto Ducking control panel.
Output devices
Some output devices cannot be controlled by software. Auto Ducking shows an unsupported-output status when macOS does not allow volume control for the selected device.
Hotkeys and presets
Use global hotkeys to pause Auto Ducking, restore volume, trigger manual ducking, or open the control panel. Presets can be adjusted for calls, dictation, recording, streaming, or custom workflows.
Privacy questions
Auto Ducking detects microphone activity and adjusts system output volume. It does not record audio, transcribe speech, or upload microphone audio.
