Auto Ducking Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 28, 2026

Auto Ducking is designed to adjust Mac system output volume based on microphone activity without recording or uploading microphone audio.

Microphone activity

Auto Ducking checks whether microphone input is active so it can lower and restore system output volume automatically. It does not record audio, transcribe speech, or upload microphone audio.

Local app data

Settings, presets, app trigger rules, output-device memory, hotkeys, and usage statistics are stored locally on your Mac.

Usage insights

Usage statistics help show how often Auto Ducking avoided manual volume changes. These stats are stored on your Mac and can be reset. Auto Ducking tracks timing and volume changes, not recordings, transcripts, or app usage details.

Purchases

Auto Ducking includes a Lifetime Unlock in-app purchase handled through App Store purchase APIs and RevenueCat. Purchase systems may process purchase status, entitlement state, and related store identifiers needed to complete and restore purchases.

No tracking

Auto Ducking does not use third-party advertising or tracking systems. Its privacy manifest declares no collected data types and no tracking.
