Snap Spell press kit

Snap Spell is an iPhone spelling-practice app. It turns the weekly spelling list your child brings home (or any English word list) into automatic dictation: each word is read aloud, your child gets time to write it, then the answers are checked and missed words come back for more practice.

What it does

  • Add a word list by photo scan, screenshot, paste, typing, or a file (PDF, Word, Excel, CSV, text), and review every word before saving.
  • Auto Dictation reads each word one to three times and leaves 3, 6, 10 or 15 seconds to write it on paper; parents then mark each word in Check Answers.
  • Solo Test lets a child type each word, marks it straight away and accepts common UK and US spellings.
  • Missed words go to Tricky Words. Free users practise their 10 most recent misses; Pro adds the review plan that brings words back the next day and then after 3, 7 and 14 days.
  • A weekly report for parents shows practice days, words practised and first-try accuracy.
  • Pro adds natural US, UK and Australian voices, learner profiles, printable PDF practice sheets and iCloud Backup.
