Product Update
RooCards adds Apple Wallet support on iPhone
RooCards now gives iPhone users another access path for eligible loyalty, store, rewards, and membership cards: add selected cards to Apple Wallet from RooCards and keep the wider card library in RooCards.
Apple Wallet access starts free in RooCards. RooCards Plus unlocks more Wallet cards and removes ads.
What changed
On iPhone, eligible RooCards cards can be added to Apple Wallet from the card detail page. The fit is strongest for barcode and QR code cards you scan often, such as grocery rewards, gym memberships, library cards, and retail store cards.
RooCards includes Apple Wallet access to start. RooCards Plus unlocks more Apple Wallet cards and removes ads, so heavier Wallet users have a clearer upgrade path.
What it means for Apple Watch
Apple explains that passes added to Wallet on iPhone can also be available in Wallet on a paired Apple Watch. In practical terms, a RooCards pass added to Apple Wallet may also be available from Wallet on the paired watch.
This is Wallet support, not a separate RooCards product for the watch. The benefit is simpler access to eligible passes through Wallet surfaces people already know.
Where this fits with widgets and Spotlight
RooCards now offers several iPhone access paths. Spotlight works when you remember the card name, widgets work for cards you open constantly, and Apple Wallet works for eligible cards you want in Wallet.
What to add first
Start with cards where Wallet access would save real time at checkout or check-in.
- Your main grocery or retail rewards card
- A gym, club, or library membership you scan often
- A barcode or QR code card you already open several times each week
Try Apple Wallet support in RooCards
